Singing Hands Songbooks and CDs
Our songbooks and CDs feature signs (line drawings and symbols) from the Makaton Core Vocabulary such as MORE, CAT, DOG and TEDDY. We have then included signs from the Resource Vocabulary such as SWING, NAPPY, SANDCASTLES, TIDY UP, PUZZLE and lots of animals too. There are hundreds and hundreds of signs included within the songs to cover relevant early years’ vocabulary which users can also apply to other activities and games throughout the day.
The vocal arrangements on our accompanying CDs have been designed to be clear so that you can hear all the vocabulary and are sung at the right pace for signing.
The books and CDs are aimed at parents and carers interested in signing with their baby or young child. We have also strived to create a useful product suitable for families whose children have language and communication difficulties and/or special educational needs. The resources will be a useful tool for professionals such as teachers, early years’ practitioners, Portage workers, Speech & Language Therapists, SENCOs and music therapists working in both mainstream and SEN settings.
