November 2010: Singing Hands - Part of the ITV Christmas Special – Nov, 2010
Great news! Next month, we are going to be joining lots of families at CHASE Children’s Hospice in Surrey to film a Christmas Spectacular to be shown on ITV this Christmas (at time of writing, we think it’ll be aired on Christmas Eve, but will update more as we find out!)
Each Christmas Tracy and I sing with the children at CHASE as this is the hospice that supported my daughter, Ella, when she was very young. It’s an amazing place that provides care for families with life-limited children, either at the hospice or at home, 365 days of the year. Our family no longer needed the same level of respite once Ella’s tracheostomy was removed – however, once you have been involved with such a special place, you can’t ever truly leave! We provide help by entertaining the children and families in recognition of all the support the hospice provided to my family during those early years.
We are so pleased to have been asked to contribute to the event. The show is going to feature a huge choir singing Christmas Carols, a music group (FUNtastic), lots of families who use the services of CHASE and the two of us!
