Signing fun for little ones

Even more fun than you described! Can’t wait to come back. I’ve really enjoyed the learning the signs myself – I felt like I got my brain going for the first time in a while!

Visit to Darlington Education Village, Saturday 19th April 2007 – Feb, 2007

After Easter, we are hopping up North to spend the day at the Darlington Education Village running singing/signing workshops with groups of children from ECCDS (The Education Centre for children with Down Syndrome) who attend weekly sessions at the Village with their parents, carers and other professionals.

The £37.3m Darlington Education Village was opened in April 2006 and is a pioneering project in the UK bringing together three schools – a primary, secondary and special needs school all on one campus. Beaumont Hill Technology College, Springfield Primary School and Haughton Community School have been brought together within the Education Village to create one “learning campus” to develop a unique approach to inclusive schools catering for 1,400 pupils aged from 2 to 19.

We can’t wait to visit!
